Since I’ve gotten a few posts on here so far, I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself a little bit.
I’m Erin. I live in a small country town in Wisconsin with my husband, Cole (aka the Beard portion of this duo), and our two fur babies, Sadie and Bella. Bella is a 6 year old chihuahua with the heart of an old lady. Sadie is a one year old mix of all of the breeds (seriously, we did a DNA test and it was all over the place!) and was rescued from Texas. She so badly wants her sister to love her, but Bella is an independent puppy and wants nothing to do with her. It’s pretty adorable.
We also have our first non-fur baby coming in March! Actually due on St. Patrick’s Day, so our Irish ancestors on both sides must be looking out for us. Now it’s time for lots of registering, ripping up old carpet in the future nursery, trying not to buy all of the adorable tiny clothes and stalking Pinterest for all sorts of ideas and crafts.
During the fall, any weekend plans must revolve around the Badger game on Saturdays, the Packer game on Sundays and hunting season. If you had asked me six years ago if I would know when gun hunting season starts, when to wear camo versus blaze orange, how to cook a mean venison roast or that I would have more than one deer head hanging on my living room wall..I would have said you were crazy. Now I wouldn’t have it any other way! Proud to be a #hunterwife 🙂
I enjoy cooking and meal planning (most of the time!) and have been trying to get myself into meal prepping to make my life easier during the week. I am very lucky that my job allows me to work from home most days, so I can step away from the computer for a quick break to throw something in the crockpot, wash the dishes, put a load of laundry in or let the dogs outside. The downside of that is my desk is right in our kitchen, so that equals easy snack access during the day (though right now I’m constantly hungry, so I can’t say that I mind!).
I’m a big fan of Pinterest, Etsy and Instagram and use them all daily. I have my own Etsy shop (check it out here) and have big plans to do way more with it than I’m doing now. I just purchased a Cricut, so the ideas and opportunities really are endless! Especially when it comes to Christmas decorations and gifts 🙂
Any questions, just ask! I really am an open book. I look forward to getting more comfortable with the blogging world and starting lots of great friendships!
